Life Stories: The Pagaduans.

Mokihana’s Story…..

I am truly blessed.  I didn’t have a “rough” life, like so many others.  I grew up knowing Jesus and believing that He is the only way.  Although I  had an amazingly loving family, we too had our “problems”..  My parents were not hard core drug users, but did smoke pot on a regular basis.  One day God touched their lives and delivered them from that stronghold.  They got rid of all the drugs they had and never looked back.   I gave my heart to the Lord when I was just  a young child.  We started attending Door of Faith Church in Wailuku, which is where I met my husband Dune when I was 8 and he was 10.  My parents did a wonderful job raising us to know and love the Lord with all our hearts..

As I became an adult, I thought I knew better and wanted to do things on my own.  I always kept Him close to my heart, but wanted to be in charge of my own life.  I married my best friend, gained a wonderful step son (Joshua) and had two beautiful children (Justin and Jordyn).  Yep, I was in control…..wrong!!!!  What I failed to realize was that He was there, right next to me, even when I couldn’t, or didn’t want to see Him.  He has never left my side.  Now that we have “come back” to Him, I can see how He was in control the whole time.

We tried a few different churches over the years, but just never felt like that is where we were supposed to be….until now.  We have found a home at Grace Bible Church.  A place we feel comfortable and loved.  A place where they not only recognize your face, but know your name and honestly care about you and your family.  I have found that when I let go…..and let God, good things happen to me.  I am so grateful He led us here.

God is good……ALL THE TIME!!!!!
